I finally read the book! Like you promised, I vaguely remember this post. Just enough to know I wanted to read it, but not enough to spoil its « surprises ».
I have to say that this author is still a very good action novelist. He choose complicated subjects and contexts, but still manage to put some cliffhangers, fights, almost dying moments and love stories.
